Do I need an adapter?
The Shield Sights AMS Enclosed Emitter Red Dot Sight MR uses the Shield RMS footprint. If your pistol’s slide is cut for the Shield RMS footprint (or came with a matching plate), it mounts directly — no adapter needed. If your slide is cut for a different footprint, or uses a plate system such as Glock MOS, you’ll need an adapter plate that provides the Shield RMS pattern.
